About Apna Merit
What Apna Merit is
Apna Merit is a free website for students applying to Pakistani universities. It does three things: it calculates your admission aggregate with each university's official formula, it shows the closing merits (the aggregate of the last admitted student) from official merit lists, and it tells you which programs your aggregate was enough for in the last two years.
Every number on the site links to the official prospectus, notice or merit list it was copied from. If we cannot find an official source for a number, we do not publish it.
Why we built it
Every admission season, students search for the same three answers: "What is my aggregate?", "What was last year's closing merit?" and "Where can I get in?". The answers are spread across scanned PDFs, Facebook posts and websites that copy each other without sources. Apna Merit puts the official figures in one place, in plain tables, with the source next to each one.
Who runs it
Ali Ahmad is the founder and editor of Apna Merit. He collects the official documents, checks every formula and closing merit against them, and answers correction requests.

Apna Merit was founded in 2026. It is independent: it is not run by, paid by or affiliated with any university, the University of Health Sciences (UHS), the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) or the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
How we keep it accurate
- Formulas come only from official prospectuses and admission regulations. See our methodology.
- Closing merits come only from official merit lists and portals, listed on data sources.
- We store program-level figures only, never student names or CNIC numbers.
- Mistakes are corrected within 48 hours of being reported. See our editorial policy.
Free and open data
The site is free to use. The merit data is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0): you can reuse it if you credit "Apna Merit (apnamerit.com)".
