Apna Merit

Editorial policy

Our standards

  • Official sources only. Every formula and closing merit comes from an official university, PMDC or admission-portal document, linked next to the figure.
  • No source, no number. If we cannot verify a figure, we leave it out rather than guess.
  • Plain language. We write for students and parents, in English with short Roman Urdu explanations.
  • No paid placement. Universities, colleges and academies cannot pay to change what we publish or how programs are ranked.

Who writes and reviews

All pages are written and checked by Ali Ahmad, the founder and editor (about the author). Before a page goes live, its figures are compared with the official document a second time.

We use software tools, including AI assistance, to read long PDF merit lists and to draft text. Every figure and every sentence is checked by a person against the official source before it is published.

Corrections within 48 hours

If you find a wrong figure, a broken source link or an out-of-date formula, tell us through the contact page and include the page address and, if possible, the official document. We check every report and fix confirmed errors within 48 hours. The page's "Updated" date changes when a correction is made.

Updates during the admission season

When a university publishes a new merit list, we add it within 48 hours. When a formula changes for a new admission year, the calculator is updated before the season opens, and the page title shows the current year.

Advertising

The site may show advertising in the future to cover its costs. Ads will be clearly separated from content, will never appear above a calculator, and will never influence our data. See the disclaimer and privacy policy.
