Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Apna Merit (apnamerit.com) collects and how it is used. In short: you do not need an account, and the marks you type into our calculators stay on your own device.

Calculator and predictor inputs

The aggregate calculators and the predictor run entirely in your browser. The marks and aggregates you enter are not sent to our server. To save you retyping, your last inputs are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. You can remove them at any time with the "Clear" button or by clearing your browser's site data.

Information collected automatically

Like every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are kept according to the host's own retention rules. We do not use them to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

Apna Merit does not currently set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add website analytics (such as Google Analytics) or advertising (such as Google AdSense) in the future, we will update this policy before they go live, describe the cookies they use and explain how to opt out.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and to fix the issue you report. We do not sell, rent or share it, and we do not add you to any mailing list without asking.

Merit list data

Official merit lists often contain students' names, father's names and CNIC numbers. We never store or publish any of these. We keep only program-level figures, such as the closing aggregate of each program.

Children

Many of our visitors are students under 18. Because the site needs no account and does not collect personal information through its tools, students can use it without sharing personal data.

We link to official university and government websites. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.

If this policy changes, the date at the bottom of this page will change too. Questions about privacy can be sent through our contact page.
