Air University Aggregate Calculator 2026
Engineering: 10% Matric + 50% FSc + 40% test · Others: 15% + 35% + 50%
Updated
The Air University aggregate for engineering programs = 10% SSC + 50% HSSC + 40% entrance test; for non-engineering programs (computing, business, sciences) it is 15% SSC + 35% HSSC + 50% test, per AU's Aggregate Merit Formulation Criteria. Example: 1000/1100 Matric, 950/1100 FSc and 60% in the test give 73.86% (non-engineering) or 76.27% (engineering). Official source

How is the Air University aggregate calculated?
Air University, Islamabad publishes its "Aggregate Merit Formulation Criteria for UG Programs" on its official Prepare for Admission Test page. There are two formulas:
| Program group | SSC (Matric) | HSSC (FSc) | Entrance test |
|---|---|---|---|
| Engineering programs | 10% | 50% | 40% |
| Non-engineering programs (computing, business, sciences, social sciences) | 15% | 35% | 50% |
Worked example
| Part | Marks | Weight | Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entrance test | 60 / 100 | 50% | 30.0000 |
| FSc | 950 / 1100 | 35% | 30.2273 |
| Matric | 1000 / 1100 | 15% | 13.6364 |
| Aggregate | 100% | 73.86% |
The same marks give 76.27% on the engineering formula, because FSc counts 50% there.
What is in the AU-CBT entrance test?
The computer-based test is set by your HSSC group. Every version has English 20% and Analytical 25%. For pre-engineering and computer science candidates, Quantitative is 25% and the subject part is 10% each of Physics, Chemistry (or Computer) and Mathematics. For pre-medical candidates, Quantitative is 15%, Physics 10%, Chemistry 10% and Biology 20%. Arts, General Science and Commerce candidates get their own subject sections.
Test exemption and eligibility
- Engineering: exemption with NAT-IE, NAT-ICS, USAT-E, USAT-CS, or the entry tests of UET Lahore, NED, MUET, NUST and ETEA, as per PEC criteria. Minimum HSSC 60%; entrance test pass marks 33% (PEC). See the eligibility criteria.
- Computing programs: NAT-ICS, NAT-IE, NAT-IM, USAT-E, USAT-M or USAT-CS. Business programs: SAT-1 of at least 1100, or any NAT / USAT.
- An exempting NAT/USAT score must be at least 50, relate to your HSSC group and be from the last year.
- Most non-engineering programs need at least 50% in HSSC. Percentages are not rounded: 49.9% stays 49.9%.
