Punjab University Aggregate Calculator 2026

Basic criteria: (Matric ÷ 4 + FA/FSc) ÷ (Matric total ÷ 4 + FA/FSc total)

Updated

The PU aggregate calculator uses Punjab University's basic criteria: merit = (Matric marks ÷ 4 + FA/FSc marks + additional marks) ÷ (Matric total ÷ 4 + FA/FSc total) × 100. With 1000/1100 Matric and 950/1100 FSc that is 1200 ÷ 1375 = 87.27%. Programs with an entry test count this academic merit 75% and the test 25%. Official source

How is the PU aggregate calculated?

Punjab University's basic criteria for BS (4-year) programs are printed on page 1 of its official Merit of Last Year 2025 document. Matric counts at one quarter of its marks and is added to your full FA/FSc marks:

PU merit = (Matric ÷ 4 + FA/FSc + additional marks) ÷ (Matric total ÷ 4 + FA/FSc total) × 100

With the usual 1100 + 1100 totals, that works out to Matric 20% and FSc 80%. Programs that hold an entry test use PU's own basic merit calculator formula: the same academic share counts 75% and the test 25%.

The same marks with a 60/100 entry test give 87.27 × 0.75 + 60 × 0.25 = 80.45%.

What are additional marks at PU?

The formula adds "additional marks" to your marks earned before dividing. PU's Admission Regulations Book (page 23) lists them: Hafiz-e-Quran 20, an elective or diploma subject 20, an optional subject 10, an additional elective 10, an additional optional 5, a subject combination 10 and "any other" 5 to 10, depending on the department. Tick the Hafiz-e-Quran box above to add its 20 marks (you need a certificate and the department interviews you). Other additional marks depend on the program; add them to your FSc marks yourself if they apply.

Two more rules from the same page: if you apply on a provisional basis, PU uses your Intermediate Part-I marks and total; and 2 marks are deducted from your academic percentage for each late year, up to five years.

Is my PU aggregate enough?

Compare your result with last year's figures on the PU merit list 2026 page: 257 official closing figures from 2025, from Pharm-D (91.34%) and PUCIT Computer Science (87.18%) down to programs that closed below 40%. The calculator above also lists the programs your aggregate cleared last year.
