UHS Provisional Merit List: What to Check and How to Report a Mistake

What the provisional order of merit is

Before any college is allotted, UHS publishes a provisional order of merit: every eligible applicant with their Matric, FSc and MDCAT marks and the aggregate computed from them, ranked from highest to lowest. For 2026-27 public MBBS it is due on Friday 13 November 2026, the final order of merit on Monday 16 November and the first college-wise selection list on Tuesday 17 November. The three days in between are when mistakes are corrected, so this is the one list you should read line by line.

What to check in your row

Why one mark matters: in the final 2025 list the gap between the highest public college (King Edward, 94.87%) and the lowest (Narowal, 93.51%) was 1.36 points, and neighbouring colleges were often only 0.05 to 0.15 points apart. A single MDCAT mark typed wrongly can move you across several colleges.

How to report a mistake

1. Recalculate your aggregate with the calculator and keep the result link; it shows the exact marks you entered.
2. Read the notice printed with the provisional list on uhs.edu.pk. It states how discrepancies are to be reported for that session and until when, usually through the admission portal or UHS admission office within the provisional window.
3. Have your documents ready: result cards, the paid challan and your application printout. The UHS advertisement gives these numbers for queries and complaints (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM): 042-99231308-09, 042-99231078 and 042-99231071.
4. Do it before the final order of merit date. After the final merit is published and selection lists begin, the ranking used for allotment is the final one.

UHS does not send letters or messages about lists; everything appears on www.uhs.edu.pk and its official social media. Keep checking the site on each scheduled date, or add the dates to your calendar from the UHS admission page.

Reading your position

The provisional list does not allot colleges, but your rank already tells you a lot. Public MBBS seats on open merit for 2026-27 total 3,696 across 17 colleges (plus reserved categories), so roughly the top 3,700 open-merit applicants are placed in the first list, and later lists move down as students leave for other options.
