UHS MBBS & BDS Admission 2026-27: Schedule and Merit Lists

UHS MBBS and BDS admission schedule, session 2026-27

These are the official dates from the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore for first-year MBBS and BDS in Punjab's public-sector medical and dental colleges. We update this page as each list comes out; the selection lists themselves are published only on uhs.edu.pk.

What happens after the applications close?

1. Provisional order of merit: every applicant's aggregate and position. Check that your marks, category and details are right before the final merit is fixed.
2. Final order of merit: the corrected list in merit order.
3. First college-wise selection list: seats are given in merit order against each student's college preferences. The number and order of preferences become final after the application deadline and cannot be changed.
4. Fee and joining: selected students download the fee challan from the admission portal and pay at Bank of Punjab or National Bank of Pakistan, or through a 1Bill invoice (not 1Bill top-up). Admission is confirmed only after the fee is paid and the student joins the college in writing by the due date.
5. Selection / upgradation lists: seats left by students who move or do not join go to the next students in merit. Upgradation is mandatory: a student upgraded to a preferred college must report there in time or loses the admission.

Who can apply and how merit is calculated

Applicants need MDCAT 2026, 2025 or 2024 with at least 55% for MBBS or 50% for BDS, FSc (pre-medical) or equivalent with at least 60%, and a Punjab domicile (except overseas seats). Which colleges are in this admission?

The UHS notice lists 19 public medical colleges and 5 public dental colleges. Maryam Nawaz Sharif Medical College (Mianwali), Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences (Lahore) and Quaid-e-Azam Medical & Dental College (Bahawalpur) are subject to PM&DC approval, and the Medical College, University of Rasul (Mandi Bahauddin) to PM&DC approval and other regulatory requirements. Seats are offered on open merit and on under-developed districts, Cholistan, disability, reciprocal and overseas Pakistani quotas; overseas Pakistani seats carry an annual fee of US$10,000.

UHS advertises private-sector MBBS and BDS admissions separately. On 1 November 2026 its home page showed only the public-sector notice for session 2026-27.

What did MBBS close at last year?

In the 2025 UHS lists, the 1st public MBBS selection list had King Edward Medical University at 94.92%. In the 13th and final list, public MBBS colleges closed between 93.51% (Narowal Medical College) and 94.87% (King Edward Medical University) on open merit, and public BDS between 93.42% and 93.46%. Private MBBS colleges closed between 90.84% and 61.00% in the 5th and final private list. Every college, list and year is in the MDCAT merit list; the 2026 lists will be added there within 48 hours of each official list.
