Private MBBS closing merit 2025 at a glance

• Highest: Al-Aleem Medical College, Lahore closed at 90.84% in the 5th and final private list, followed by Sharif Medical & Dental College (88.70%), Shalamar (86.34%) and FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry (86.18%), all in Lahore.
• Lowest: Queens Medical College Kasur (for females only) at 61.00% and Sahara Medical College, Narowal at 63.15%.
• Below 80%: 27 of the 33 colleges closed at or below 80% in the final list, and 12 at or below 70%.

How much did private merit drop after the 1st list?

Much more than in public colleges. Between the 1st and the 5th (final) 2025 private MBBS lists, closing merit fell by 9.07 points on average. Al-Aleem dropped least (92.71% to 90.84%) and Queens Medical College Kasur most (75.95% to 61.00%). Students who get a private seat in an early list often move to a public college or a preferred private one in a later list, and their seats are refilled lower down the merit. Pick "1st" in the Merit list filter above to compare; how merit changes between lists explains the pattern.

What aggregate do you need for a private medical college?

The figures in the table are UHS merit aggregates built from MDCAT, FSc and Matric (the PMDC weights are 50/40/10; formula explained). Work out yours with the MDCAT aggregate calculator. If your aggregate was above a college's 2025 final figure, you were in range for it last year; within about 1.5 points either side is borderline (our method). Private colleges have their own application, fee and preference rules each year, so read the UHS private-sector admission notice for the current session.

Where are the 2026-27 private lists?

UHS publishes private MBBS selection lists after the public-sector schedule starts. We add each 2026-27 list within 48 hours of its release; the dates UHS has announced so far are on the UHS MBBS admission schedule and on merit list updates.
