Matric and FSc Percentage Calculator
Turn your Matric, FSc Part-I or full FSc marks into a percentage
✓ Official sourcesUpdated AA Checked by Ali Ahmad
Your Matric or FSc percentage = marks obtained ÷ total marks × 100. For example, 1000 out of 1100 is 90.91%, and 480 out of 550 in FSc Part-I is 87.27%. Enter your marks below; universities then combine these percentages with an entry test into an aggregate.
How to calculate your Matric or FSc percentage
Divide the marks you obtained by the total marks and multiply by 100. For example, 1000 out of 1100 in Matric is 1000 ÷ 1100 × 100 = 90.91%, and 480 out of 550 in FSc Part-I is 87.27%. Use the total printed on your own result card: most Pakistani boards use 1100 for Matric and FSc, and some now use 1200.
Which percentage do universities use?
Universities do not admit on the percentage alone. Each one combines Matric, FSc and its entry test into an aggregate with its own weights:
- MDCAT (PMDC): 10% Matric, 40% FSc, 50% MDCAT. Try the MDCAT aggregate calculator.
- UET Taxila: 17% Matric, 50% FSc Part-I, 33% ECAT. See the UET Taxila aggregate calculator.
- NUST: 10% Matric, 15% FSc Part-1, 75% NET. See the NUST aggregate calculator.
- Punjab University: (Matric ÷ 4 + FSc) ÷ 1375. See the PU aggregate calculator.
Engineering universities usually take FSc Part-I marks because admissions close before the Part-II result. Once you have your aggregate, the merit predictor shows which programs it would have reached last year. All calculators are listed on the aggregate calculator page.
